Now that summer is over and fall is officially underway, it’s time to start thinking about fall home maintenance. We have a Fall House Care Checklist we provide to our clients, but we wanted to share some of the highlights so you know a few of the things to look for, whether you work with TruBlue or not.

  • Spot-seed the lawn and apply fall fertilizer
  • Clear fallen limbs, leaves and other yard debris
  • Aerate the lawn
  • Check window caulking and weatherstripping
  • Put in storm windows, where applicable

Inside Projects

  • Check attic fan
  • Replace batteries in all fire alarms and smoke detectors
  • Check furnace and change filter
  • Inspect sinks, toilets, and drains for leaks or clogs
  • Check fire extinguishers

Additional Things to Consider

  • Inspect and clean gutters
  • Clean window wells
  • Clean and store window AC units
