About the Owner
Roxanne & Rick Batson and Mur Feldman
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our company and our team. We are Roxanne Batson, Mary Anne Feldman, Rick Batson. We opened TruBlue Home Service Ally of Birmingham in order to help people like us! If you need someone to do small repairs, special projects and/or maintenance for your home, we're here for you!
Our mission is simple: Help seniors, busy families and home owners maintain their home by providing total house care services. Like most of our clients, we’ve gone through the process of running a busy household and trying to maintain a home while working full-time. It can be so difficult to find the time to do those everyday house projects while trying to enjoy spending time with your family and doing the things you love. With TruBlue, you can get those weekends back without sacrificing the important maintenance on your home. We offer handyman services, real estate repairs, security system installation, commercial property maintenance, seniors preventative home safety services, and seasonal work.
In addition to our one-time services, we also offer House Care Plus, a monthly or quarterly home maintenance program, which is perfect for busy families and seniors looking to age in place. We are especially passionate about working with seniors. We have each been faced with the challenges of helping our aging parents stay in their homes and we understand they need help to maintain their home in order to prevent safety issues and deterioration that affects the value. The simplest things become difficult, especially when mobility is affected. Many of our clients are adult children who just want to make sure Mom and Dad have help when they need it.
We were all friends long before we opened TruBlue of Birmingham. Roxanne and Mary Anne previously owned a business together and sold educational technology to schools for more than a decade. Before that, Roxanne worked as a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch after 6 years with Southern Living Magazine, where she worked as a Cooking School program coordinator. Mary Anne, who has a background as a teacher and a coach, owned FirstLight Home Care until she sold the business a few years ago. Rick recently retired a few years ago as the President of TurnerBatson Architects, a third-generation architectural firm. After a few years of retirement, we decided we weren’t ready to stay retired. TruBlue enables us to use our complimentary experiences to serve clients in the best way possible. Having someone you trust you can call to help with the maintenance of your home is something we all need and we’re looking forward to being that resource. Our team works in Birmingham, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Hoover, and the surrounding areas and we look forward to meeting you!
Meet the Team
Josh
Josh came to Trublue from a fencing company where he did nothing but build fences for two years.
With Josh, our clients get quality carpentry work from fences to rails, decks and doors. He also does senior home modifications. Clients love Josh's ready smile and charm along with his ability!
Katie
Katie has been a project manager and key member of our handyman crew. She also happens to be a professional softball coach!
Coming from a background as a project manager with Habitat for Humanity, she learned the skills to get the job done when managing other technicians. Clients appreciate Katie for her organizational and technological skill.
Ben
Carpenter and general handyman, Ben comes to us as a staging event contractor. He has experience putting together stages for events and that comes in handy when he's helping our customer renovate or install decks, fences and doors.
Ben also has experience as a general handyman who is known for his great attitude and smile!
Eric
As supervisor to a painting crew, Eric is a top pick for anyone wanting their home painted. But, at Trublue of Birmingham, Eric has more of a personal touch, helping our clients get their small projects done in a late afternoon or weekend as a part-time painter. With Eric you get someone who is fast, reliable and does high quality work, leaving you with a beautifully painted result.
David
A master carpenter and overall handyman, David can do it all! From Cleancut tub cutouts which he pioneered at Trublue of Birmingham to rebuilding rails and decks, many clients have appreciated the work that David has done for them. Clients enjoy his wit and humor along with his work ethic as he always wants to make sure that the job is done right!
Angel
Angel is somewhat a jack of all trades as he is not only a handyman but also a professional painter. His work for Trublue clients includes small projects such as painting iron railing, gates, doors and decks as well as repairs or installations like laundry room shelving and cabinet repairs. Most technicians do good work at some things but painting is where Angel shines as a professional.
Lawrence
Lawrence came to Trublue as a contractor for gutter repairs. After working with him to do a few projects we discovered him to be very conciencious and with more skills that could help our clients such as replacing doors and landscaping such as trimming hedges and trees. Lawrence has headed up a number of projects for both commerical and residential clients repairs and is currently working on getting his builders license.
